Power BI and Business Central Deep dive, Tips and Tricks
In this session, we will take you down the road and cover some Power BI advanced topics.
Questions we will answer are:
– How do I build a good data model? How can I implement an incremental refresh?
– How can you link actuals and budgets?
– How do I need to fetch data from Business Central, and how does that impact my queries and performance?
– What are the intelligent capabilities of Power BI, and how can I use them to get insights?
We will also demonstrate and explain some useful tips and tricks that come in handy when creating Power BI reports and how to use Power Platform with Dynamics 365 Business Central in reporting requirements.
About The Speakers
Renato Fajdiga is a Microsoft Dynamics NAV/365 Business Central consultant and blogger with more than five years of experience in implementing Dynamics NAV/365 Business Central. Currently, he is an ERP product manager for Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, and solution architect for Dynamics 365 Business Central, where he works on implementing multiple Dynamics 365 solutions. He is MVP from fall 2018 with a focus on Business Applications, especially Dynamics 365 Business Central, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate. He enjoys in everyday learning of new technologies and concepts which optimize customers’ processes. Sometimes he gets inspiration and dives into code, but one thing which is for sure his motivation is to solve problems with Dynamics 365 Business Central posted by the community.
Steven Renders is a Microsoft Certified Trainer with skills spanning business and technical domains. During the latest years, he specialized in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft SQL Server. He has more than 15 years of business and technical experience. He provides training and consultancy focused on Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft SQL Server, Business Intelligence Solutions, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, and Database Performance Tuning. Furthermore, he is also an expert in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, on which he has already delivered many training sessions. Steven was an author of some of the official training materials on Dynamics NAV Reporting, SQL Server performance tuning, and development. Steven also presented at various Microsoft MSDN and TechNet evenings, conferences, communities, events, and the MCT Summit.
